This September would be the last month of continuous night. During this period of time, I have to work form 21:00 to 07:00 on the next day. I told my friends and colleagues that I am living in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) time zone. Working hours is just shift form Hong Kong to New York only! By the way, the end of daylight saving would be end at the 29th of September. For me, that is the end of continuous night.
My daily life:
19:00 Wake up and cleaning
20:00 Taking train back to hospital
21:00 Start to work
01:00 Have "lunch" with my colleague
May be have a little break at around 06:00
07:00 Off duty
08:00 Almost back to home
Or have “dinner” with Tim Tim if she is AM shift
Jogging with FiFi
Surf in the internet, reading books
12:00 Or later
It’s time to sleep
The daily life is very regular when compared with pervious shift work. Main problem is I have to adjust my clock during the day off. I consider to sleep at day time even I don't need to work on that night. But I can't going out for fun with Tim Tim and friends. At the end, I decided to have a long day off. That means I can rest for 3 to 4 days in the night shift. No matter the appointment time, I just ensure that I have time to rest.
The other attractive point of continuous night is allowance. Of course I won't tell you the amount.
