Psalms 121

Psalm 121 A song of ascents.
I lift up my eyes to the hills-
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip-
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you-
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The LORD will keep you from all harm-
he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

Last few weeks was the most harsh time for me. My mum was diagnosed with carcinoma. From the very beginning of time to the operation done, it only took 3 weeks. Especially before the disclosure of diagnosis from the doctor, I already knew the report that difficult to face the fact with my mum. Those 3 days were the struggling in my heart. Before the operation, I had though about the worse case of carcinoma. The possibility of metastasis also included in my mind.

During the operation, my expected duration would be be about 2 to 3 hours. But my aunt said that mum posited to the operation room from 7am. Meanwhile, I hadn't any news till 1pm!! I though about all of the possibility of delated operation time. Thanks the Lord that the operation was smooth and result seems to be fine.

I heard about Psalm 121 on one of the Sunday morning. Tears was coming out as I had the words form the Lord. He promised that "...he will watch over your life". When I was helpless, the Lord said that "my help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth...". And I knew that "the LORD is your shade at your right hand...". I have to learn hands-off. When I am in the valley, it's the time for the Lord to show His power and grace.

Thanks the Lord. And thanks the bro & sis form my church.
